Romans 10:17

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

When you are in the Word long enough, the frequency of God will come closer in your life.

Breakthrough

Breakthrough comes not only from the written Word of God, breakthrough comes from a spoken Word of God. When you get in the Word of God, you set yourself up to get a written word FROM God.

Greek for “written word”

Rhema

Greek for “spoken word”

When trials happen, relax and respond according to the Word.

The Bible is the final authority.

Works of the Law VS. Grace through Faith

We can not depend on our own efforts to deserve favor from God. Grace is a gift from God and can not be earned. Jesus died on the Cross for the grace we get from God. Our faith is what we believe in our heart. Using the grace God gives us to activate our faith.

By Grace Through Faith

Ephesians 2: 1-10

2 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Faith -

Responding according to the Word, the Promise and to what Grace has already made available. Living a life of response in according to God’s Word because you truly believe that Jesus died for our sins and we have Faith that He will deliver us, no matter what.

The Peril of Not Progressing

6 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this we will do if God permits. Hebrews 6:1-3

Without Works, Faith is Dead

The 2 types of Works

1. Works of the Law

It takes more than words to activate faith. It takes more than just saying “I Believe” or “I have faith”. Faith without action is deception.

2. Works of Faith

Faith has to have actions. It needs corresponding actions with “I Believe” to work. True Faith has to be acted on to be ALIVE. When we truly believe from the heart, we will have true action. Within belief is a seed of action.

James 2:14

“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?

Can faith save him?”

Belief originates in the Heart, Not the mind

Works by faith comes from true Belief.

Faith Can Be Seen from your Heart.

Galatians 5:4

4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

James 2:17

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
